Guys! Ready for my first post-holiday update? I’ve been suffering from a major jetlag ever since I got back last week but now that’s starting to get better and my batteries are fully reloaded, can’t wait to share every little holiday detail with you guys!
Let’s start with talking about my final destination of the trip: Las Vegas! First of all, I need to make a confession… Being my 4th time I spent an entire week in Vegas, I think I’m pretty much addicted to this place. Quite some people asked me if I could really keep myself busy for an entire week at this place an the answer is YES! 😉 For me, Vegas makes the perfect holiday destination because the weather is always good (located in a desert, huh!), you have a zillion of good restaurants, the shopping possibilities are endless and ofcourse there are so many things to do at night (think shows, bars, gambling; but more about that in a next post)!
When I go to Vegas, I prefer to stay at ‘The Strip’. This is sort of the main street where all the big hotels/ casinos are located and where everything happens at night. This year, I stayed at The Venetian for the first time and I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last. This luxury hotel/ casino is the largest in the world with more than 7000 suites (together with The Palazzo) and the architecture is extraordinary, with tons of marble, just how I like it The Grand Canal (both inside and outside) mentally took me to the real Venice in a single second and the ability to ride the gondola make a fun extra asset.
After 5 hour ride from L.A. to Vegas, we arrived at the Venetian, and a quick and friendly checkin at the main-desk later , we took the elevator to the 24st floor and opened the door of our Luxury Suite with a king bed, all-marble bathroom and separate living room area. I was impressed! And how sweet was that warm welcome gift?!
In the following days we did nothing but relaxing and enjoying the facilities that the Venetian and Palazzo have to offer: laying by one of the many pools (including the cool Tao beach club!), eating in one of the restaurants, shopping in the (designer) stores and also sweating off those fine dining calories in the gym area. Actually this gym was the biggest hotel gym I had ever seen. Next to all possible cardio machines, there was also a separate strength area AND even a big climbing wall! The BF and I rented an instructor for an hour and had so much fun!
After 3 amazing nights at The Venetian, we checked out, batteries fully recharged! Thanks for having me, I will be back for sure!
