Yeah, I got off on a slow start this year with my biggest resolution: working out. It’s not that I want to loose weight that bad but I wouldn’t mind getting a bit more shaped and stronger, especially with bikini season in mind.
First of all I’ve been cutting back on my bad eating habits the last few weeks: less carbs and sugars in general ,more greens and fruits. You won’t see me complaining for now, once you get used to this new way of eating it’s actually not that bad at all and you will have less cravings for everything unhealthy after a while. I do allow myself one cheat day a week where I can eat everything I’ve been lusting over in the past week. Seems to be working for me (until now that is 😉 )
Second, of course, is the active part of this new lifestyle. I’ve been following the famous fitness guru Kayla Itsines for a while on Instagram now and I must say her ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures don’t lie, resistance training seems to be doing magical tricks to one’s body that is just not obtainable with cardio workouts only. I’ve now completed a few of her first lessons and I can truly feel my body using muscles that I didn’t even know existed.
Now, nothing more pleasant than working out in style. As if New Look knew about my new year’s resolutions, they sent me this pretty fitness ensemble from their most recent ‘Active Wear’ collection.
